Policy.

This policy covers how Framerica LLC (“AT Frenchies”, “we”, “us”) handles information you share with us through our website (atfrenchies.com) and related services. We keep this short because we think you should actually read it.

What we collect

• Email address. When you submit the exit-intent form on the quiz page or sign up for our newsletter. Nothing else is required.
• Name, email, mobile number and Instagram handle. When you sign up for a challenge or event. The Instagram handle is optional. We use your number for event texts and our WhatsApp group. When you add your number, we keep a record of when you gave it, as proof of your consent.
• Quiz answers. Your 8 quiz responses are stored in your browser only (local session storage). We do not send them to a server unless you choose to save your result by email.
• French Switch. Our practice app at atfrenchies.com/switch is for members. When you buy it, we keep your email, your name if you gave it, and when you last opened the app, so we can give and remove access. Your answers and progress are saved with your personal link, so they follow you to a new phone, and a cookie keeps you signed in on each phone. Your voice notes and sketches stay on your phone and are never uploaded. We also count anonymous events, like how many sessions are finished, with no name or email attached. If you ask us to email your results, we use your email and first name for that and for news from Alex & Tom.
• Usage data. Standard anonymized analytics (pages visited, time on site, device type), with no personal identifiers. On our challenge pages, once you've signed up, we also log the buttons you tap (like joining the WhatsApp group) with your email, so we can see what works.
• Cookies. We use minimal session cookies to remember your language preference and whether you’ve seen the welcome modal. On our challenge sign-up pages (register.atfrenchies.com), we also use the Meta Pixel cookie to measure our ads. If you're in the EU, it only runs after you accept.

How we use it

• To send you the emails you signed up for: your French level summary, learning resources, and Club updates.
• To improve the site by understanding which pages work and which don’t.
• To communicate about the French Club, our book, and events when you’ve indicated interest.
• To text you about the events you signed up for, if you gave us your mobile number (see Text messages below).

We don’t sell your email address or your mobile number. We don’t share them with third parties except the tools we use to run our sign-ups and actually send you emails and texts, who are contractually bound to protect them, and a scrambled copy of your email with Meta to measure our ads (see Ads measurement below).

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we use it to text you about the events you signed up for. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

We never sell or share your mobile number or your text opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. We share it only with the tools that run our event sign-ups and send our texts.

Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help.

Ads measurement (Meta)

On our challenge pages, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to see which of our ads bring sign-ups. When you sign up, we tell Meta that it happened and send a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email, your first name and your country, plus your IP address and browser details. We never send Meta your mobile number.

If you're in the EU, none of this happens unless you accept on the page. Anywhere else, you can limit it in your Facebook ad settings or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

What Meta does with this data is covered by Meta's privacy policy.

Your rights

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you’re off our list. No forms, no waiting period.

If you’re in the European Union or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Reach us here:

Third-party links

Our site links to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Penguin Random House. Once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply, not ours. We have no control over what those platforms do with your data.

Children

Our services are not directed at anyone under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it immediately.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. We won’t email you about minor wording tweaks, but we will if anything important changes about how we handle your data.
